Job Description
Waterworks Aquatics is a premier swim school with over 35 locations across California and Colorado, dedicated to teaching children as young as 3 months and adults how to swim. The company has built a strong reputation for its mission to educate and motivate individuals to be safer in the water and to master proper swimming techniques through expert instruction and supportive environments. With a strong presence in communities, Waterworks Aquatics leads the industry by providing high-quality swim lessons that combine safety education with skill development. Their commitment extends beyond teaching to creating welcoming environments that encourage families to engage and grow confident in the water. Waterworks Aquatics values each team member's contribution toward this overall mission and fosters a collaborative, team-oriented culture where employee growth and customer satisfaction are top priorities.
The role of Customer Experience Expert at Waterworks Aquatics in San Jose, CA, is essential to maintaining the welcoming and supportive atmosphere that the swim school is known for. This is a full-time position with a competitive pay range of $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience and performance, paired with valuable benefits including employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance. This position requires an individual who thrives in a lively, fast-paced environment and can actively engage with families and children to enhance their experience at the swim school. As the front-desk face of Waterworks, this role is focused on direct interaction rather than stationary receptionist or call center work. Weekend availability is required to meet the needs of the customers and ensure smooth operational flow during peak times.
A significant part of this dynamic role involves greeting families warmly, handling lesson registrations, processing payments, scheduling classes, and managing customer accounts efficiently while maintaining a positive, empathetic communication style. The position calls for a proactive approach to problem-solving and the creativity to accommodate various family needs with flexibility and kindness. Candidates should be comfortable multitasking and moving actively throughout the facility to support the front lobby's organization and safety by maintaining cleanliness and restocking supplies as needed. The role also offers ample opportunity for personal development through paid training, growth and leadership advancement, and ongoing performance reviews. Team collaboration and shared goals around customer retention and registration success are central to daily operations, making this a rewarding work environment for motivated individuals passionate about service excellence and making a meaningful impact on families' swim education journeys.
