The role of Customer Executive at Bimbo Bakeries USA is centered on strategic and tactical planning to drive profitable sales growth within major chain accounts. This position entails working closely with Customer Planning Managers and Analysts to develop annual and trimester plans. The Customer Executive sells directly to customers at the buying level while overseeing the execution of customer plans and results both internally and externally. This role demands strong analytical skills, effective communication, and leadership capabilities to manage operations teams and ensure successful customer engagement at the field level. The position plays a pivotal role in coordinating promotional activities, pricing strategies, and competitive analysis, while also leading quarterly reviews and top-tier presentations with key accounts. The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, or a related field and brings at least five years of consumer product account experience, along with team leadership experience and proficiency in data analysis and presentation software. This sales leadership role requires significant travel—approximately 50%—and offers a salary range of $102,000 to $142,800 annually with eligibility for annual bonuses, making it a rewarding opportunity for experienced sales professionals seeking to grow within a global market leader.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing or related field
  • Five or more years’ experience in consumer product accounts
  • Experience managing and leading salaried associates
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales/data analysis tools
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing or related field
  • 5 or more years’ consumer product account experience
  • Experience leading salaried associates with team responsibility
  • Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and influence others
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and familiarity with Data Warehouse, Margin Minder, PROMPT and Synectics
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Job Duties

  • Develops fact based sales presentations utilizing Margin Minder and Nielsen data to identify incremental volume/space opportunities with assigned accounts
  • Develops and implements promotional calendar to fully maximize all trade promotions and maintain competitive advantage
  • Responsible for pre and post analysis on all promotions to identify and correct missed opportunities
  • Responsible for the entry of all promotional activity into Synectics and maintenance of accurate customer price file
  • Gains authorization and secondary display support for all new products
  • Develops full revenue programs to align with customers’ key initiatives
  • Leads the operations team in the development and implementation of a call matrix to ensure quarterly reviews are conducted with all store operations’ personnel
  • Maintains and regularly updates analysis of key competitors’ activities and their impact on all BBU Brands on a market-by-market basis
  • Responsible for annual and semi-annual Top-to-Top presentations for assigned accounts
