The role of Customer Marketing Activation Manager at Essity is a pivotal position within the North American team. This experienced professional will develop and execute customer marketing activation initiatives targeting strategically important distributor and end-customer accounts across North America. The core of this role involves the planning, management, and flawless execution of customer-facing events. These include distributor events, end-customer engagement programs, and large-scale internal and external meetings such as the North America Sales & Marketing Meeting (NASM).

The Customer Marketing Activation Manager acts as a central force in ensuring strong customer engagement, commercial impact, and seamless cross-functional coordination among Sales, Marketing, Product/Brand, Commercial Excellence, and external partners. Living in either Philadelphia, PA, or Appleton, WI is preferred for the ideal candidate to facilitate collaborations and presence within the North American operations.

The Customer Marketing Activation Manager is responsible for leading the entire event process: from conceptualizing event strategies in line with commercial objectives and brand standards, managing logistics and vendor relationships, overseeing budgets, to conducting post-event evaluations to measure impact. Work includes creating customized co-branded sales enablement materials, customer catalogs, presentations, and digital tools to support customer engagement. Moreover, the role involves tracking customer product mixes and recommending activation opportunities in collaboration with Key Account Managers or sales leads.

Job Requirements

  • University degree in business administration, marketing, or similar
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in event planning and execution
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work in cross-functional, matrixed organizations
  • Experience collaborating with sales teams
  • Residence in Philadelphia, PA or Appleton, WI preferred

Job Qualifications

  • University degree in business administration, marketing, or similar
  • 3-5+ years of experience in customer marketing, activation, events, or commercial marketing roles within a B2B environment
  • Proven experience in planning and executing customer or commercial events including multi-stakeholder coordination
  • Strong project management skills with experience operating in cross-functional, matrixed organizations
  • Experience working closely with sales teams and customer-facing stakeholders

Job Duties

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of customer-facing events
  • Own event strategy and execution for key commercial moments
  • Serve as a core partner in organizing and executing large-scale internal and customer-facing meetings
  • Manage end-to-end event processes including timelines, agendas, coordination, vendors, logistics, budgets, and post-event evaluation
  • Ensure events deliver measurable impact through clear objectives and attendee engagement
  • Provide support to Customer Marketing Managers and assist with strategic distribution priorities
  • Act as coordination point between Sales, Marketing, Product/Brand, Commercial Excellence, and external partners
  • Support development and execution of localized customer marketing plans
  • Secure development of customized co-branded sales enablement materials
  • Monitor customer product mix and recommend activation opportunities
  • Manage and track customer marketing and event-related budget
  • Coordinate customer-facing communications in support of campaigns and events
