The company is seeking a Customer Engagement Representative to join their dynamic team. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager or Customer Service Manager and is classified as non-exempt. The primary role of the Customer Engagement Representative is to support customers by addressing inquiries related to rental equipment as well as the sales of products and services. This vital function directly contributes to the growth and success of the branch by ensuring that customer questions are answered promptly and accurately, and that all customer interactions foster positive business relationships.

The Customer Engagement Representative will play a crucial role in supporting the operations and outside sales teams, as well as collaborating with other offices or departments within the organization. Duties include managing customer inquiries about equipment rental, tracking order status, preparing and issuing quotes for products and services, following up on sales leads, verifying order details, and assisting with scheduling and logistics. The representative will also handle billing, invoicing, payment processing, and maintaining contract files and customer correspondence.

This position requires effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on interpersonal and telephone communication. The role demands a proactive, analytical thinker who can troubleshoot problems and provide solutions to customer issues swiftly. The representative must be a flexible, dedicated team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required.

Moreover, the physical demands of the job include a mix of sedentary and active tasks, such as walking, standing, bending, stretching, and occasional climbing, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. The work environment is primarily office-based but involves supporting equipment logistics and customer service operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or higher
  • Minimum two years of customer service experience, preferably in environmental, safety, or rental services
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot problems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to maintain a positive health and safety attitude at the workplace

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED or higher
  • Two years of customer service experience, preferably in the environmental/safety or rental field

Job Duties

  • Intake customer inquiries for equipment rental, order status, and general questions
  • Develop and issue quotes for our products and services
  • Follow up on quotes, record in Pine's database the outcome
  • Review customer orders to confirm that equipment, accessories, consumables, quantities, price, and any special contract instructions are understood
  • Assist in branch sales and marketing efforts through outgoing phone calls and emails
  • Communicate customer Order Confirmations and follow up upon delivery
  • Update Pine's database with details and Call-Off information
  • Assist in scheduling delivery and pick-up of orders
  • Assist in locating equipment and shipping logistics
  • Help provide solutions when customers have issues
  • Enter repair orders when needed
  • Setup product replacement when needed
  • Maintaining contract files and customer correspondence
  • Record and investigate customer inquiries
  • PO processing when necessary
  • Billing/Invoicing customers
  • Credit card processing when needed
  • Promote a positive health and safety attitude/workplace
  • Have a basic understanding of our equipment and how it's used
  • Keep a clean, organized well-maintained office
  • Other duties as assigned
