Job Description
Pepsi Bottling Ventures (PBV) is the largest private bottler and distributor of Pepsi beverages in the United States, operating primarily in North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, and Delaware. Jointly owned by Suntory, a family-owned business founded over 125 years ago in Japan, and PepsiCo, a global leader in convenient foods and beverages with a legacy spanning over 125 years, PBV combines the heritage and innovative spirit of both to deliver high-quality, beloved beverage products to a broad range of markets. The company’s footprint extends across five states, where it engages in manufacturing, selling, and distributing PepsiCo products as well as a growing portfolio of its own beverage lines nationwide. Known for its commitment to dreaming big, growing sustainably, and giving back to society, PBV values innovation, teamwork, integrity, and accountability. Notable products under its umbrella include the popular Nature's Twist lemonade, demonstrating its dedication to continuous portfolio expansion and customer satisfaction.
The role of Customer Delivery Specialist at Pepsi Bottling Ventures is a critical position designed to ensure the timely and efficient delivery and merchandising of products within the company’s small format distribution channels. This role primarily involves the safe operation of delivery vehicles, adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, as well as company policies to ensure the well-being of the specialist and the public. The primary responsibility is servicing customer accounts along assigned routes by delivering, unloading, and merchandising products to meet and exceed both PBV and customer standards.
The Customer Delivery Specialist operates under a customer-centric philosophy, providing world-class service while maintaining operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, effectively managing product deliveries including promotions, and maintaining attractive, well-stocked, and rotated product displays within various retail environments. Strong communication skills are essential for establishing and fostering positive relationships with store contacts, handling invoices, reporting issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction is paramount. The position demands physical stamina to perform heavy labor, keen organizational skills to prioritize deliveries and tasks, and detail orientation to maintain quality standards.
This full-time position offers an attractive total compensation package inclusive of competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits program. Benefits include paid time off, medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, wellness programs, company-paid telemedicine, disability and life insurance, as well as education and adoption assistance among others. The job provides opportunities for skill development, career progression, and delivering a positive impact on customers and communities served by Pepsi Bottling Ventures. Due to regulatory requirements, the role requires a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), successful completion of a DOT physical, and adherence to safety protocols.
Pepsi Bottling Ventures is an inclusive employer, committed to equal employment opportunities and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, veteran status, or disability. Individuals requiring accommodations in the application process may contact the company directly. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a respected company that values integrity, innovation, and community engagement while providing a stable, rewarding career path in the beverage distribution industry.
