Job Description

Airlite Plastics is a premier, privately held, family-owned manufacturer headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. Renowned for its personal culture and family-style environment, Airlite is a fantastic place for professionals seeking to grow and build a successful career. The company’s foundation is built on core values of unquestionable integrity, respect, and appreciation for each other. These principles drive Airlite’s success and foster a supportive and collaborative workplace where employees are encouraged to innovate and thrive.

Airlite specializes in manufacturing a wide range of products including rigid plastic containers and lids for food packaging and cosmetics, dry powder scoops, plastic drink cups, shipping containers, industrial strength insulated concrete forms (ICF), and environmentally friendly permeable paving systems. Their commitment to sustainable and innovative solutions has earned them numerous awards and a reputation for top-tier customer service and product quality. Emphasizing continuous improvement, Airlite consistently reviews and enhances its processes and efficiencies to exceed customer expectations.

As a Customer Account Specialist at Airlite Plastics, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s growth and customer satisfaction efforts. This Omaha, NE based role involves managing customer support for both internal teams and external clients, overseeing the entire customer order process from initial placement through product delivery. Key responsibilities include handling product delivery, returns, exchanges, sales order processing, logistics, invoicing, and quality support. You will ensure smooth communication between customers, logistics, and internal departments, acting as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns.

The ideal candidate for this full-time position will have 3 to 5 years of experience in customer support or logistics, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Airlite values individuals who employ excellent problem-solving skills, can organize multiple projects simultaneously, and work collaboratively with colleagues and customers at all levels. This role demands strong verbal and written communication skills, tact, sound judgment, and the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.

The Customer Account Specialist will also be responsible for applying manufacturing practices to ensure inventory accuracy, validating pricing and discounts, supporting credit verification processes, and ensuring orders meet delivery deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use company software accurately for transaction data entry are essential for success. Working safely and adhering to company attendance and performance standards are also critical elements of this role.

Beyond the technical skills, Airlite looks for self-motivated and ethical individuals who display flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine focus on customer satisfaction. This position does not involve direct supervisory duties but requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organizational structure. Physical job demands include sitting, standing, walking, hand dexterity for computer use, and occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds. Employees may experience varying noise levels, with quieter office environments and louder production floor settings.

Joining Airlite means embracing a workplace where integrity, respect, innovation, continuous improvement, and environmental responsibility are paramount. Airlite Plastics offers employees not just a job, but a meaningful career path where personal growth and contribution to sustainable solutions are valued. This is an exceptional opportunity for candidates passionate about customer service and logistics within a reputable manufacturing company that takes pride in its people and products.
