Custodian-Trash Technician

This job opening is for General Cleaners and Trash Technicians at a logistics facility located in Memphis, TN. The role primarily involves custodial responsibilities within a busy logistics setting, which may include positions such as General Cleaners, Trash Technicians, Floor Technicians, or Warehouse support. Shifts are structured as four 10-hour shifts per week, with options for both day and night shifts. Specifically, shifts run either Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday, providing some flexibility for candidates.

These roles are physically demanding and require a high level of stamina and endurance. Workers will be expected to cover significant walking distances daily, which can accumulate to several miles a day while performing their duties. The core of the work includes general cleaning tasks such as maintaining restrooms, break rooms, and conference rooms, ensuring these areas remain sanitary and presentable. The duties extend beyond indoor cleaning to outdoor maintenance, which includes cleaning yard areas, guard shacks, and designated smoke areas, so candidates must be prepared for all weather conditions, including cold weather.

In addition to janitorial tasks, workers will be involved in a variety of other responsibilities critical to logistics operations. These tasks include removing and baling cardboard, moving and stacking pallets, floor cleaning, and operating fork trucks.
