About the Role: The Custodian position at this logistics facility offers an hourly wage of $14.00 and requires the wearing of composite shoes or boots for safety reasons. Scheduled shifts run from Wednesday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This job is physically demanding, requiring walking several miles per day as custodians are responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility and surrounding areas such as yard areas, guard shacks, and smoke areas. The role involves disposing of trash, sweeping, and cleaning workspaces, and distinguishing between trash, scrap, and stored materials to ensure proper waste management.

Custodians will be expected to work harmoniously with other trades in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a conscientious approach to the tasks. Alongside janitorial duties, employees will assist with other physically demanding tasks including removing and bailing cardboard, moving and stacking pallets, floor cleaning, and operating a forklift.
