The Custodian Lead role at Tessera is a full-time non-exempt position operating on flexible day shifts, including early morning, afternoon, and evening schedules with hours ranging from 4:00 am to 12:30 pm, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, and 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Compensation is competitive, paid at a rate of $20.83 per hour, and is supplemented by a robust benefits package. Job Requirements
- A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance
- Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access
- A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- 0 - 3 years of previous custodian or janitorial experience preferred
- Previous leadership skills preferred
- Combination of experience and education will be considered
Job Duties
- Back up custodial staff with custodial job duties
- Coach, mentor and resolve employee concerns in a respectful and mutually beneficial manner
- Monitor employees to ensure efficient use of time, performance and understanding of work tasks
- Record daily personnel attendance and track employee absences, tardiness, etc
- Monitor employee interactions and conduct, documenting misconduct on designated Skookum forms
- Assist manager with customer service to meet customer demands
- Assist manager with supply and equipment inventory of locker and storage areas
- Assist manager with managing schedules as needed, including but not limited to call-outs, vacation, or sick leave requests
- Assist manager with ensuring orientation and on the job training are completed on all new employees/re-hired employees
- Assist manager with evaluating employee performance for probationary and annual reviews
- Assist manager with various reports- i.e., schedules, training, attendance, evaluations, various employee documentations, correct time keeping, accident reports
- Assist manager with the issue, turn in & securing of all government and Skookum keys/vehicles/phones. Ensure that buildings are secured and safety measures taken when exiting
- Participate with rehabilitation staff in the development and monitoring of individual evaluations, assessments and or training programs
- Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor
- All other duties as assigned
