Job Description

Growing meat processing company located in Vernon is currently seeking a dedicated Janitor and Sanitation Associate to join our team for the 2nd shift. Our company specializes in the processing of high-quality meat products and prides itself on maintaining strict hygiene and cleanliness standards across the entire facility. The role of Janitor and Sanitation Associate is essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our plant, including warehouse areas, office spaces, breakrooms, restrooms, and production zones. This position works primarily on the 2nd shift with a start time of 12pm, Monday through Saturday. It offers a unique opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to upholding the highest levels of sanitation in a food processing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of cleaning and custodial tasks, ensuring that all areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards consistently.

In this role, you will perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal. You will be tasked with cleaning restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to strict protocols that comply with food safety and sanitation regulations. Handling commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely is key, as is following safety procedures and using personal protective equipment when required. Additionally, you will assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleans as scheduled or needed to keep the facility in optimal condition.

Working in a meat processing environment requires the ability to handle unique challenges, including working in a cold/freezer environment and being comfortable around raw meat products. We value reliability, flexibility, and a strong work ethic. Candidates must be able to work overtime on weekends as needed and have reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance.
