Employees in this role work standard daytime hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with an expectation to work irregular hours, including overtime and rotating weekend shifts as needed. This role may be designated as essential during emergency closures or inclement weather, requiring the individual to remain on campus overnight if necessary, demonstrating the position's critical contribution to campus operations. The targeted hourly wage for this role is $13.75, with actual pay commensurate to experience, and the position is benefits-eligible. A valid Oklahoma Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hiring is required as the job occasionally involves university vehicle operation and travel.

The duties of this role are precisely defined and include routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, waxing, and polishing floors, along with dusting and cleaning furniture and equipment. The role also involves securing offices and classrooms by locking and unlocking designated areas and managing waste disposal. Attention to detail is critical, particularly in maintaining lavatories and restrooms to meet sanitary standards. Additional responsibilities may include outdoor tasks such as shoveling snow from doorways and sidewalks. A significant aspect of the job involves executing Make Ready services, which include deep cleaning of residential bathrooms and kitchens, sanitizing mattresses, performing carpet care with stain extraction and shampooing, and thorough cleaning of high-touch surfaces like ceiling fans, blinds, vents, doors, walls, and windows. The employee is expected to adjust and stage furniture appropriately after cleaning tasks are completed.

Employees must pass a background check and post-offer employment testing prior to hiring, ensuring that all team members maintain the high standards expected by the institution.
