The role of Custodian at Mission Linen Supply is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the plant, offices, and surrounding grounds. Custodians are responsible for ensuring all housekeeping needs are addressed throughout the facility, including interior spaces like offices and production areas, as well as exterior locations such as parking lots, loading/unloading zones, and lawns. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $16.50 per hour, which is determined by education, experience, qualifications, and assignment location. Job Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl regularly
capability to occasionally climb or balance
must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
ability to work in environments near moving mechanical parts
willingness to work in high or precarious places and outside weather conditions
must be able to handle exposure to fumes, airborne particles and chemicals

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
prior custodial or janitorial experience is advantageous
ability to follow safety protocols and use cleaning equipment effectively
strong attention to detail and reliability
ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Duties

Sweep, mop, hot wash, vacuum floors and periodically wax floors
wash walls and inside windows using water, cleaning solutions, sponge and cloth
clean offices, move furniture, vacuum, gather and dispose of trash, clean lighting fixtures, window tops and ledges using rags, ladders and other housekeeping equipment
clean overhead areas such as pipes and machinery with compressed air hoses or cloths
pick up litter, sweep and perform other general grounds keeping duties around the plant property, parking lot, lawns and walkways
assemble cleaning supplies and equipment and transport them to the designated cleaning area
