We are seeking dedicated Custodians to join our team at a busy logistics facility located in Walker, MI (Fruitridge NW/4 Mile NW). This facility plays a crucial role in supporting the supply chain, ensuring goods are properly handled, stored, and transported efficiently. As part of a well-established logistics company, our team prides itself on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace to support operations that handle large volumes of freight daily. This full-time custodian position offers a competitive wage of $15.50 per hour and requires the use of composite shoes or boots for safety purposes. The role involves physically demanding tasks including extensive walking, lifting, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions. Multiple shifts are available with flexible scheduling options to accommodate different needs. Typical shifts include Wednesday through Saturday, 9 PM to 7:30 AM; Sunday through Wednesday, 9 PM to 7:30 AM; Sunday through Wednesday, 7 AM to 5:30 PM; and Thursday through Saturday, 7 AM to 5:30 PM. These night and day shifts provide ample opportunity for those who value consistent work hours in a dynamic warehouse setting.

The custodian will be responsible for essential janitorial duties such as cleaning restrooms, break rooms, and conference rooms, as well as maintaining tidy outdoor areas including yard spaces, guard shacks, and designated smoking areas. The job requires extensive physical effort, including walking several miles per shift, emptying trash receptacles that may require heavy lifting, and performing routine cleaning tasks to uphold facility hygiene standards.

Beyond basic janitorial services, custodians at our facility also engage in additional tasks like removing and bailing cardboard, moving and stacking pallets, floor cleaning, and operating fork trucks. These responsibilities ensure that the logistics operation runs smoothly and meets rigorous sanitation and safety standards. Fork truck operation is an important component of the role, helping facilitate efficient material handling in the warehouse environment.

Applicants should have prior experience in custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or cleaning roles, preferably in an industrial or logistics setting. The job demands physical stamina, including the capability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing more than 50 pounds frequently. Candidates must be able to follow established safety protocols due to exposure to physical risks and hazardous chemicals. Reliable transportation is necessary to ensure punctuality and consistent attendance in this vital role.
