Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior cleaning or custodial experience preferred
- ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals
- valid driver’s license
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- ability to climb a 9-foot ladder
- pass drug, alcohol, and criminal background checks
- ability to use cleaning chemicals and solvents safely
- good physical health
- effective communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Good attention to detail
- prior cleaning, janitorial, custodial, day porter, or maintenance experience preferred
- ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures and manuals
- maintains a valid driver’s license
- ability to apply concepts of basic math
- ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- ability to establish priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
- intermediate mechanical and tool knowledge
- effective communication skills
- capable of troubleshooting and solving problems
- positive working relationships
Job Duties
- Maintain restrooms by cleaning floors, toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, countertops, trash removal, restocking paper towels and toilet paper
- maintain breakroom and hallways by sweeping, mopping or scrubbing floors, cleaning sinks, countertops, microwave, tables, chairs, etc
- make recommendations regarding preventive maintenance schedules and records
- provide recommendations for improving current systems and schedules
- assist with production floor cleaning responsibilities
- clean and maintain the production area as needed
- shovel snow from sidewalks and patios as needed
- run errands as needed
