FDSS is currently seeking a detail-oriented Custodial Technician to join their team supporting a valued customer in Baltimore, MD. This full-time position offers an hourly pay rate of $16.80 and provides steady employment with shifts scheduled primarily in the afternoon and evening, specifically from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM or 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The Custodial Technician role encompasses a variety of critical tasks focused on maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility. Key responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in different areas such as offices, hallways, stairwells, and common spaces. The role also involves cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and high-touch areas on a daily basis to ensure a hygienic environment. Additional duties include dusting surfaces, cleaning windows, glass, and fixtures, as well as stripping, waxing, buffing, and maintaining floors as needed.

This role is physically engaging, requiring the ability to stand for long periods and to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Other physical demands include bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs or ladders. The technician will also assist with light groundskeeping and snow removal when necessary, highlighting the dynamic nature of the position.

FDSS values reliability and punctuality, with an emphasis on a drug-free workplace. Employees are expected to adhere to a specific dress code that includes khaki pants or clean jeans without rips, solid-colored shirts without logos or patterns, closed-toe shoes (excluding Crocs or open-toed footwear), and the wearing of a company-issued logo smock while on site. Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are considered a plus, reflecting FDSS’s commitment to serving a diverse community.
