Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of customers worldwide across 15 countries. The company is deeply rooted in service and driven by a mission to do great things not only for its clients but also for communities and the planet. With a strong commitment to equal employment opportunity and diversity, Aramark fosters an inclusive workplace where every employee can enjoy an equitable environment free from discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, or other protected statuses. As a prominent company in the facilities management industry, Aramark continually invests in its workforce to develop talents, fuel passions, and empower professional growth. This holistic approach enables employees to take on new challenges, feel a true sense of belonging, and thrive in a dynamic work atmosphere.

The Custodial Supervisor role at Aramark is a critical supervisory position responsible for supporting management in maintaining and improving cleanliness and safety standards through stringent inspections, employee training, and accountability measures. This role operates at the frontline, helping to build morale among custodial staff and nurture long-lasting employee and customer relationships. The supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all custodial operations are executed efficiently, adhering to company policies and safety regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Daily responsibilities of the Custodial Supervisor include conducting regular quality and safety inspections, scheduling and understanding employee work assignments, and leading training sessions to ensure the team remains skilled and compliant with best practices. Supervisors also enforce departmental policies, manage disciplinary actions when necessary, and maintain clear and effective communication with associates, peers, customers, and management. In addition to day-to-day oversight, the supervisor audits facility keys, pagers, and payroll to maintain accountability and inventory control. They oversee project assignments, ensure the proper distribution of supplies and equipment, and monitor equipment performance to recommend repairs or replacements as needed.

The Custodial Supervisor also supports employee performance evaluations, providing insight and recommendations to acknowledge outstanding work or address performance issues. Beyond custodial duties, the role may require participation in emergency response situations, supporting operational continuity during catastrophes or severe weather events. Supervisors are expected to lead by example, occasionally assisting with custodial tasks and demonstrating dedication to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive work environment.

Aramark values supervisors who possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to foster a team-oriented atmosphere. Physical requirements for this role include the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds and stamina to sustain standing, climbing, bending, stooping, and crouching for extended periods. Bilingual skills, particularly in English and Spanish, are advantageous to communicate effectively within diverse teams. Overall, this position offers a vital opportunity to contribute to Aramark's mission and vision by leading a dedicated team in delivering high-quality custodial services that enhance customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
