The Porter role at AEG is integral to maintaining the venue's pristine condition and overall guest experience. This part-time position, offering a pay rate of $20.00 per hour, encompasses cleaning, maintenance, and simple repair responsibilities to ensure all areas of the venue, including the main floor, mezzanine, backstage, bathrooms, and bars, are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The Porter contributes to the seamless operation of events by performing scheduled post-event cleaning, addressing any maintenance issues such as changing lightbulbs, painting, light construction tasks, and restocking cleaning supplies. This position requires normal safety precautions and a proactive attitude to maintain the venue’s standards.
Ideal candidates for the Porter role will have at least one to two years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the physical ability to stand for extended shifts and lift equipment as needed. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require working nights, weekends, and holidays to align with event schedules. Strong communication skills, punctuality, reliability, and the ability to collaborate with others are also crucial traits for success in this role.

Job Duties
- Post event cleaning including sweeping, mopping, emptying trash cans and replacing liners, wiping down surface areas, cleaning up spills and fluids, and ensuring general cleanliness and quality standards are met before the next event
- perform maintenance as needed including changing lightbulbs, painting, light construction, repair, and more as assigned
- restock and reorder supplies as needed, manifest and report large scale repair needs, and ensure the general upkeep of the venue from a maintenance perspective
- complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines and deadlines set by supervisors and event manager
- inspect assigned work area prior to and during event, looking for safety hazards, facility issues, housekeeping needs, personal injuries, etc.
