The University of Utah is currently seeking a dedicated Custodial Crew Leader to oversee the janitorial services within campus housing and related facilities. This full-time leadership role offers a competitive salary of approximately $44,158.40 annually and is based on a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some summer Saturdays required. The Custodial Crew Leader will direct, manage, and supervise a team of housekeeping and janitorial staff, ensuring that the university’s facilities are clean, orderly, and inviting. As the leader of the custodial team, this role involves communicating and enforcing departmental goals and standards, assigning staff to work areas, conducting inspections, and maintaining quality assurance checks.

The position also emphasizes staff development through proper orientation, training, and ongoing education to maintain operational excellence. Alongside personnel management, the Custodial Crew Leader handles materials and equipment inventory as well as purchasing to ensure resources are readily available and used efficiently.
