The Front of House (FOH) team members at Ruth's Chris Steak House play a crucial role in shaping the overall guest experience by providing outstanding service from the moment guests arrive or call. You will be expected to report to work as scheduled, wear the correct uniform, and maintain excellent personal hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout your shift. Each team member will be assigned a station at the beginning of the shift and is responsible for executing all opening and closing duties as directed by the Manager on Duty. Teamwork is a key value, so assisting fellow team members and communicating effectively toward resolving any guest concerns are essential components of this role. FOH team members must be well-versed in all operational procedures and standards outlined in the RCSH Employee Training Packet, ensuring a consistent and high-quality service delivery.

Specifically, FOH positions demand high responsiveness and engagement with guests. This includes promptly answering curbside phones, making suggestions about menu items, and using guests’ names during interactions to provide a personalized touch. Accuracy in taking and processing orders through our computerized system is vital, alongside efficiently handling guest payments. Timely and courteous delivery of food and beverages curbside ensures that guests' expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Job Duties

  • Answering curbside phone immediately and making suggestions and answering questions regarding food and beverages
  • Practice salesmanship to enhance the guest experience
  • Use guests' names regularly throughout calls and during order pick-up
  • Take and record food and beverage orders from guests
  • Process guests' orders accurately using the computer terminal
  • Process payment for each guest
  • Ensure timely delivery of all food and beverages to guests curbside
