Job Description

Culver's is a well-established and beloved restaurant chain, originally founded in 1984 by Craig and Lea Culver along with Craig's parents, George and Ruth, in Sauk City, Wisconsin. Known primarily for its signature ButterBurgers and Fresh Frozen Custard, Culver's has grown while maintaining a strong focus on not just great food but also exceptional hospitality and service. Culver's has earned a reputation for its commitment to creating a welcoming environment for guests and providing rewarding opportunities for its team members. The company is deeply rooted in its family values and prioritizes people, aiming to ensure everyone who visits leaves with a memorable dining experience.

As a Restaurant Porter / Maintenance Technician at Culver's, you will play a vital role in ensuring the restaurant operates smoothly each day. The position is full-time and offers competitive wages along with holiday pay. As a porter, you are the frontline support that helps prepare the restaurant for a successful day by keeping the establishment clean, orderly, and well-stocked. This foundational role is critical to the overall guest experience, creating a clean and safe environment that reflects Culver’s high standards.

Your key responsibilities will span maintaining the physical appearance and functionality of both the interior and exterior of the restaurant, including areas such as the parking lot and dumpster pad. You will be tasked with completing a variety of daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance jobs efficiently and accurately, to ensure the restaurant runs at peak condition. Stock management will also be an essential part of your role, where you will organize and rotate inventory in the cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas following the FIFO (First In-First Out) method to ensure the freshness and safety of ingredients.

The role also involves developing a working knowledge of all the equipment in the restaurant. Culver's provides paid training to help you get up to speed with the maintenance and operational aspects of the restaurant’s equipment, which supports your growth as a reliable technician within the establishment.

Culver's fosters a supportive work environment with an emphasis on teamwork, reliability, and strong work ethic. This role suits candidates who enjoy routine tasks but can also demonstrate independence and effective time management. Being dependable and possessing good communication skills are crucial as you will often collaborate with other team members to maintain a smooth-running restaurant.

Culver's is committed to offering a flexible schedule to accommodate various needs, plus paid training and free uniform pieces to ensure you are well-prepared and comfortable in your role. Employees benefit from meal discounts, opportunities for career growth, and paid time off for eligible team members. These benefits are complemented by a positive work culture that values both the guests’ experience and the well-being of its staff.
