Job Description
Compass is a forward-thinking real estate technology company founded in 2012, with a mission to help everyone find their place in the world. By leveraging an innovative end-to-end platform, Compass empowers residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to both seller and buyer clients. The company is renowned for revolutionizing the real estate industry, creating an environment where technology and real estate expertise converge to improve agent productivity and client satisfaction. Compass is headquartered in Denver, CO, and is recognized for fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture focused on growth, mobility, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
This full-time, in-office position based in Denver, Colorado, offers an exciting opportunity to join the Operations team, focusing on agent recognition and retention. As an integral player in this team, the role involves setting a positive and upbeat tone that supports a thriving workplace culture through the planning, coordination, and execution of various Compass events and community involvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple priorities, executing flawless event logistics with a keen eye for detail, and ensuring clear lines of communication throughout the planning process. This role not only requires managing event budgets but also includes stewardship of agent and employee-focused culture activities and local community outreach through Compass Cares initiatives.
The position demands collaboration with stakeholders across the company to deliver events designed to boost agent loyalty and retention, including recognition awards, agent appreciation events, and social gatherings. Event management includes detailed timeline creation and strict adherence to schedules to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. The candidate will also oversee sponsorship programs at the regional level and coordinate closely with local office contacts to fulfill partnership commitments. The cultural programming responsibilities extend to fostering a supportive and engaging environment for both agents and employees, reinforcing Compass' core values and commitment to community enrichment.
Competencies critical to this role include exemplary communication skills—both verbal and written—with the ability to listen actively and keep stakeholders well-informed. Strong customer service aptitude is essential, characterized by professionalism, responsiveness, and the ability to manage complex or sensitive situations with tact. Dependability and accountability are vital; this includes meeting attendance expectations, following management directions, and taking ownership of assigned tasks. Organizational skills are equally important to ensure administrative duties align with company policies and procedures. Effective planning and project management skills underpin the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget while coordinating cross-functional teams.
Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of two years of event management and/or customer service experience, preferably with established brands. Physical capabilities, such as the ability to lift 20 pounds and reliable access to transportation for event logistics, are required. Flexibility to travel across Colorado for event execution is also necessary. Proficiency with Google applications like Gmail and Sheets is essential for success in this role. The candidate should demonstrate impeccable integrity, keen attention to detail in a fast-paced setting, and a proactive approach to process improvement. Furthermore, strong communication skills targeted at a customer service focus and discretion with confidential information are critical for fostering trust within the team and wider organization.
The compensation package includes a competitive base salary ranging from $75,000 to $80,000 annually, with potential bonuses and restricted stock units complementing the overall remuneration. Employees benefit from a comprehensive suite of perks such as paid vacation, holidays, sick time, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits, life and disability insurance, and support programs including Maven for new parents and Carrot for fertility benefits. Additional employee support is provided through programs like UrbanSitter for caregiver referrals, Employee Assistance Program, and pet insurance.
Compass prides itself on its integrity and commitment to equal opportunity employment, creating a workplace where employees are encouraged to be their authentic selves and do their best work. The company's culture emphasizes entrepreneurship, diversity, equity, and inclusion, which are reflected in every aspect of its operations and community engagement initiatives. This role offers not just a job but a pathway to a fulfilling career in a dynamic and supportive environment where your efforts directly contribute to the success and well-being of Compass agents and employees alike.
