Job Requirements
- Three or more years of experience in volume cooking
- Proven recipe development experience
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and sanitation
- Understanding of federal, state, and local hospitality laws
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to deal professionally with difficult situations
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Servsafe certification prior to hire
Job Qualifications
- Three or more years of volume cooking experience in similar or larger operations
- Experience with recipe development and large batch cooking
- Good knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, storage, and sanitation
- Thorough understanding of food and beverage industry regulations and market trends
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Servsafe certification
Job Duties
- Prepare and execute exquisite entrees at BALEENkitchen
- Maintain high standards of food preparation and sanitation
- Communicate effectively with team members, guests, and vendors
- Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA and health department standards
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
- Develop and execute recipes and large batch cooking
- Handle kitchen equipment and ingredients safely and efficiently
