The Culinary Supervisor role at Oak View Group is a dynamic and integral position responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality and service within the company’s live entertainment venues. This role involves preparing and cooking meats, soups, and sauces, while supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth operational flow and adherence to established culinary standards. The Culinary Supervisor is charged with training, guiding, and motivating kitchen personnel to uphold safety, sanitation, and hospitality standards consistent with OVG’s renowned practices. This position requires the ability to manage food preparation from concept to delivery, ensuring guests receive high-quality, fresh food in a timely manner. Additionally, the Culinary Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the operational budget by assisting in food and labor cost control and inventory management. They also conduct regular inspections of kitchens to guarantee sanitation and maintenance standards meet or exceed company policies. This is a part-time position with a competitive hourly wage of $28.00 to $30.00, offering valuable benefits such as a 401(k) Savings Plan with matching contributions. Candidates in this role must demonstrate excellent attendance and flexibility to work scheduled events as needed. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience working in culinary supervision
  • strong leadership and organizational skills
  • ability to follow and enforce sanitation and safety standards
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including events
  • excellent attendance record
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items

Job Qualifications

  • Professional culinary training or experience in a fast-paced fine dining restaurant or catering facility
  • previous culinary supervisory experience
  • ability to supervise kitchen staff
  • ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef's knife
  • strong communication skills with employees, management, and guests
  • ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced event environment
  • valid food handling certificate if required by law

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff
  • display knowledge of culinary preparation skills and teach others proper preparation and food presentation
  • assist in the control of food and labor costs
  • conduct regular inspections of all locations to ensure cleanliness and maintenance meet company standards
  • assist with monthly inventory
  • provide high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests
  • prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
