The role of Culinary Supervisor is crucial within this context, focusing on maintaining the highest culinary standards while supporting the leadership team in daily kitchen operations. As a Culinary Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that every dish served meets Hyatt’s quality standards for preparation, presentation, and timeliness, enhancing the overall guest experience.

This role offers a balance of hands-on culinary work and supervisory responsibilities, including training kitchen staff, overseeing food production, and maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen. The Culinary Supervisor must be capable of stepping into the Executive Sous Chef’s duties when necessary, demonstrating flexibility and leadership. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of culinary experience
  • basic computer skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
  • flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • willingness to train and supervise staff

Job Qualifications

  • basic cost control understanding and computer skills
  • good communication skills
  • 2 years of previous culinary experience required
  • culinary degree or related hotel experience preferred
  • ability to perform basic and intermediate cooking skills
  • productivity and professionalism
  • willingness to train and work on any cooking line or department
  • experience supporting multiple hot cooking lines and departments
  • positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and pride in work
  • physical stamina to lift push and pull moderate amounts of weight
  • ability to stand for entire shift
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including AM or PM shifts holidays and weekends

Job Duties

  • produce a consistent quality product that meets and exceeds guest needs in a timely manner
