The Culinary Supervisor position is a seasonal, hourly role at Delaware North Sportservice within Globe Life Field. This role is perfect for an experienced cook who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about maintaining high food quality and service standards. The ideal candidate will take pride in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to guests while supervising and supporting kitchen staff. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour.

As a Culinary Supervisor, you will oversee food preparation with a focus on quality, portioning, presentation, and sanitation. Your responsibilities will include supervising kitchen associates, ensuring adherence to recipes, policies, and department standards, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of storage areas such as walk-ins and freezers. In this leadership role, you will train other kitchen staff, monitor food safety and waste control protocols, and perform opening, closing, and side duties as necessary. The position requires excellent communication and leadership skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a line cook, including experience as a supervisor or lead line cook
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others in a leadership capacity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attentive and detail-oriented
  • Basic math skills
  • ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions
  • No college degree required

Job Duties

  • Supervise food prep work while maintaining food quality, plate presentation, and sanitation standards
  • Verify that all portion sizes, recipes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures are maintained by kitchen associates
  • Supervise all associates and food production in their area
  • Train other associates on all stations in the kitchen
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers at all times
  • Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained, and food is stored correctly
  • Effectively supervise proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines
  • Use waste control guidelines and record all waste on a spoilage sheet
