The Culinary Supervisor role at Sodexo is a full-time position located at the Hunton Andrews Kurth UPA site in Richmond. This role offers an hourly pay range from $21.00 to $25.00, tailored to the candidate’s experience and skills. As a pivotal member of the culinary team, the Culinary Supervisor will provide hands-on supervision of daily food production and kitchen operations. This role ensures that every meal prepared meets the highest standards of consistency, quality, and compliance with hygiene and safety regulations. The supervisor works directly above Senior Cooks, supporting Sous Chefs and Executive Chefs in executing production plans and managing service requirements.
In this position, the Culinary Supervisor coordinates the culinary staff, monitors production schedules closely, enforces recipe and portion control standards, and maintains safe, efficient kitchen workflow. The role involves active participation in food preparation, directing team workflow, and upholding operational standards. Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific account’s kitchen structure, volume, and service model. This supervisor plays a key role in onboarding and training team members, reinforcing best practices, and ensuring a cohesive and productive kitchen environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum of 2-4 years of culinary experience required
- Prior lead cook or kitchen leadership experience preferred
- Experience in high-volume, multi-outlet, or event-based culinary operations preferred
- Working knowledge of batch cooking and just-in-time production methods preferred
- Ability to read and execute production sheets, prep lists, and event orders
- Food handler or food safety certification required where applicable
- ServSafe Manager or equivalent certification required where applicable
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull
- Frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
Job Qualifications
