Sodexo is known for its commitment to improving everyday life for employees and customers alike by fostering inclusivity, respect, and opportunities for growth. The company strives to create a work culture that values diversity and offers equal employment opportunities.
The Culinary Supervisor role at Riverwind Casino and Hotel is a full-time position offering a competitive hourly pay range of $16.50 to $22. This position plays a critical supervisory and operational role in the kitchen, ensuring seamless daily food production and adherence to quality standards. The supervisor is responsible for managing kitchen staff, overseeing food safety protocols, and monitoring production schedules, all while participating hands-on in food preparation activities. This position supports senior kitchen staff such as Sous Chefs and Executive Chefs and ensures that the kitchen operates efficiently and meets the volume and service demands of a high-paced hospitality environment. Applicants should expect varying shifts and open availability to accommodate dynamic business needs.
In this role, the Culinary Supervisor acts as the primary leader above Senior Cooks, guiding the culinary team to maintain consistent food quality and operational standards. Their responsibilities include training new team members, enforcing standardized recipes and portion controls, and upholding sanitation and safety standards in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to lift and move heavy items, as well as a keen attention to detail in executing production plans. Ideal candidates will bring culinary experience in high-volume or multi-outlet operations, previous leadership in a kitchen environment, and certifications related to food safety, such as ServSafe Manager or equivalent.
Sodexo offers a supportive and flexible work environment designed to help employees balance work and personal life. Beyond competitive pay, employees gain access to comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, 401k plans, tuition reimbursement, and various discount programs. Some locations provide additional perks such as free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety shoes, transportation support, and parking allowances. Sodexo emphasizes career advancement through ongoing training and development programs, making this an ideal long-term opportunity for culinary professionals seeking to grow within a global organization committed to purpose-driven work and community impact.
