Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • ability to work full-time including flexibility for evening and weekend shifts
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • basic mathematical skills for inventory and scheduling
  • ability to uphold hygiene and safety compliance
  • physical ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the initial year of employment
  • skilled in effectively managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • capability to execute fundamental mathematical computations
  • demonstrating effective abilities in organization and meticulousness
  • capacity to regulate emotions effectively when faced with pressure
  • skill in efficiently addressing interpersonal conflicts

Job Duties

  • Schedule tasks and manage production processes in the workplace
  • create and manage employee schedules
  • supervise the day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food production to guarantee safety and excellence following established policies and protocols
  • ensure food products are kept in a secure and well-arranged setting free of potential dangers
  • maintain inventory and update records weekly
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and motivation
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • keep the working environment safe and free from hazards
  • cover for missing staff members when required
  • participate in gatherings with food service employees
  • stay updated on daily catering schedules and be ready to work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
  • fulfill responsibilities associated with cashier tasks
  • assist with additional tasks as required by the Food Service Director or Manager
