Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
- ability to work full-time including possible evenings and weekends
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- completion of sanitation course required within the initial employment year
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
- completed or willing to complete a sanitation course within the first year
- skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
- capable of basic mathematical computations
- organized and detail-oriented
- able to regulate emotions under pressure
- effective in resolving interpersonal conflicts
Job Duties
- Schedule tasks and manage production processes in the workplace
- create and manage employee schedules
- compile production packets
- supervise day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
- ensure food safety and quality standards are met
- maintain inventory and equipment including updating inventory and facilitating maintenance
- monitor and assess staff performance to foster development
- provide guidance and support to food service staff
- maintain a safe working environment and cover for missing staff
- communicate regularly with team members
- participate in food service employee meetings
- encourage positive relationships among team members and clients
- organize catering events including preparation and delivery
- work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
- fulfill cashier duties
- assist with additional tasks as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
