Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service supervision preferred
  • completion of sanitation course preferable or willingness to obtain within first year
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • leadership capability and team management experience

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course before or within first year of employment
  • skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency

Job Duties

  • Schedule tasks and manage production processes in the workplace
  • create and manage employee schedules and compile production packets
  • supervise day-to-day food service operations ensuring efficiency
  • uphold food production safety and quality standards
  • maintain secure and well-arranged food storage
  • adhere to designated serving times and menu requirements
  • maintain a hygienic division following health and safety regulations
  • accurately complete food safety and temperature records and address issues
  • update inventory weekly and keep maintenance records of equipment
  • perform routine maintenance inspections and recommend equipment upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and motivation
  • provide guidance and support to staff to comply with operational guidelines
  • ensure safe working environment and cover for missing staff as needed
  • maintain communication with team and participate in staff meetings
  • promote positive relationships with team members and clients
  • coordinate catering schedules for timely event preparation and delivery
  • work during occasional evening and weekend catering events
  • fulfill cashier responsibilities
  • assist with additional tasks as directed by Food Service Director or Manager
  • initiate, organize, or complete specified projects using expertise
