The role of Culinary Supervisor at Aramark is a full-time position designed for individuals seeking to elevate their professional journey within the food services industry. As a Culinary Supervisor, you will be entrusted with overseeing daily operations in the food service establishment, closely working with the Food Service Manager to organize activities, manage employee schedules, and ensure the timely and safe preparation of food. This role demands a strong leader who can maintain high standards of food quality and safety while fostering a positive and efficient work environment. Your responsibilities will include supervising food production processes, enforcing hygiene and safety protocols, managing inventory and equipment upkeep, and supporting staff development and performance. Beyond routine supervision, the Culinary Supervisor will engage in coordinating catering events, handling occasional cashier duties, and stepping in during staff shortages to maintain smooth operations. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • proven experience in food service supervision or related field
  • completion of or willingness to complete a sanitation course
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • ability to perform basic math
  • knowledge of food safety standards and protocols
  • ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Job Qualifications

  • proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
  • completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
  • skilled in managing food service programs to optimize costs and efficiency

Job Duties

  • Schedule tasks and manage production processes in the workplace
  • create and manage employee schedules
  • compile production packets
  • supervise the day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
  • uphold food production to guarantee safety and excellence following established policies and protocols
  • ensure food products are stored securely and in an organized manner free of potential hazards
  • maintain all designated serving times and distribute meals safely and correctly adhering to menu requirements and company guidelines
  • maintain hygiene in compliance with health and safety statutes
  • accurately document food safety and temperature records and address issues as needed
  • update inventory weekly with precision
  • keep records of equipment maintenance needs
  • perform routine maintenance inspections and suggest necessary upgrades
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development, productivity, motivation, and collaboration
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff to ensure adherence to operational guidelines
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • cover for missing staff members when required
  • maintain regular communication with employees
  • participate in meetings with food service employees
  • encourage positive relationships and communication among team members and clients
  • stay updated on daily catering schedules for timely preparation and delivery
  • work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
  • fulfill responsibilities associated with cashier tasks
  • assist with additional tasks as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager using expertise to initiate, organize, or finalize projects
