Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
- completion or willingness to complete a sanitation certification
- strong communication and leadership abilities
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- capacity to stand for extended periods
- physical ability to lift and move kitchen equipment and supplies
Job Qualifications
- proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
- completion of a sanitation course required prior to or within the first year of employment
- skilled in managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to manage emotions effectively under pressure
- skill in addressing interpersonal conflicts effectively
Job Duties
- schedule tasks and manage production processes in the workplace
- create and manage employee schedules
- compile production packets
- supervise the day-to-day tasks to guarantee efficient functioning
- uphold food production to guarantee safety and excellence
- ensure proper storage and organization of food products
- maintain all designated serving times and distribute meals in accordance with menu and safety guidelines
- uphold hygiene standards in compliance with health and safety statutes
- complete accurate food safety and temperature records
- ensure regular maintenance and accurate inventory management of equipment and stock
- monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and motivation
- provide guidance and support to food service staff to ensure adherence to operational guidelines
- keep the working environment safe and free from hazards
- cover for missing staff when required
- maintain regular communication with employees
- participate in team meetings
- encourage positive relationships and communication among team members and clients
- stay updated on catering schedules to ensure timely event preparation and delivery
- work sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
- perform cashier duties
- assist with additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Food Service Director or Manager
