Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service or culinary operations
- ability to work full-time including potential evening and weekend shifts
- completion or willingness to complete a sanitation course
- strong communication skills
- physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks
- adherence to safety and hygiene standards
- reliable and responsible work ethic
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken directives
- completion of a sanitation course prior to or within the first year of employment
- skilled in managing food service programs to optimize costs and efficiency
- ability to perform basic mathematical computations
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to regulate emotions effectively under pressure
- skill in resolving interpersonal conflicts
- prior supervisory or leadership experience in food service preferred
- knowledge of food safety regulations and standards
Job Duties
- Create and manage employee schedules
- compile production packets
- supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient operations
- uphold food production safety and quality standards according to policies and protocols
- maintain secure and well-organized food storage environments
- ensure meals are served safely and according to menu requirements
- uphold hygienic standards in compliance with health and safety regulations
- accurately complete food safety and temperature documentation and address issues promptly
- update inventory weekly and maintain accurate stock records
- monitor maintenance needs of kitchen equipment
- perform routine maintenance inspections and recommend equipment upgrades
- monitor and assess staff performance to promote development and collaboration
- provide guidance and support to food service staff
- maintain a safe working environment free from hazards
- cover for absent staff as needed
- maintain regular communication with employees
- participate in food service team meetings
- foster positive relationships among team members and clients
- manage catering schedules and ensure timely event preparation
- be available for sporadic evening and weekend catering functions
- perform cashier duties as required
- assist with additional tasks assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
