The Culinary Supervisor role at Aramark is a full-time position within its dedicated Food Services Team, designed for individuals eager to advance their professional culinary careers. This role is integral to managing daily food service operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, and supporting team members to perform at their best. The Culinary Supervisor is responsible for overseeing employee schedules and production processes, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, managing inventory and equipment maintenance, and fostering a productive and positive workplace environment. Working closely with management, this role also involves communication across teams, event coordination, and stepping in as needed to cover shifts or fulfill additional tasks. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or culinary supervision preferred
  • completion of sanitation course within the first year of employment
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong communication and leadership skills
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks
  • adherence to health and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in interpreting and executing written and spoken instructions
  • completion of a sanitation course either prior to or within the first year of employment
  • experience managing a food service program to optimize costs and efficiency
  • basic math skills
  • strong organizational and detail orientation skills
  • ability to manage emotions under pressure
  • effective interpersonal conflict resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Create and manage employee schedules
  • supervise day-to-day tasks to ensure efficient functioning
  • uphold food production standards for safety and quality in compliance with policies
  • ensure food products are stored securely and safely
  • maintain hygienic area compliant with health and safety laws
  • complete accurate records documenting food safety and temperatures
  • update inventory records weekly and maintain equipment
  • monitor and assess staff performance to foster development and motivation
  • provide guidance and support to food service staff
  • maintain a safe working environment
  • cover for absent staff when necessary
  • communicate regularly with employees
  • participate in employee meetings
  • encourage positive relationships and strong public relations
  • coordinate daily catering schedules and prepare for events
  • perform cashier duties when required
  • assist with projects as assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
