The Food Service Worker position at Aramark plays a vital role in supporting kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety. This role assists the manager with food and meal preparation, cash receipts management, and meal record keeping. The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing quality food and baked goods according to planned menus and ensuring that food storage and handling practices comply with all safety and sanitation regulations. This includes serving food according to meal schedules and department policies, maintaining kitchen equipment, and coordinating thorough cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving appliances.
The position requires the ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure while adhering to strict safety standards and uniform policies. The role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Personal protective equipment and uniforms are used as needed to ensure safety and hygiene. The Food Service Worker also contributes to a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, polishing counters, and maintaining garbage collection areas in a sanitary condition. Daily communication with the manager is essential for accurately preparing menus and meeting food temperature requirements, ensuring customer satisfaction with the presentation and quality of meals served.

Job Duties
- prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- understand what is inclusive of a meal
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- adhere to the uniform policy
- connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- supervise the food temperature requirements
- maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness to ensure a balanced and safe environment including sweeping, moping, ware washing
- maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- meet physical demands related to lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
- use of uniforms and personal protective equipment as required
