The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is a vital position that supports the manager in diverse tasks related to food and meal preparation, cash receipt handling, record maintenance, and daily reporting. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices. The Food Service Worker will be responsible for preparing quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu, ensuring accurate and sanitary food storage, serving food following established schedules and policies, and handling kitchen equipment with care.

Job Requirements

  • Education at minimum to be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Experience or training in food service desirable
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required

Job Qualifications

  • Food service certificate as needed
  • Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • Understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • Timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
