Job Requirements
- High-school diploma or equivalent

- complete Recruit Training Command (boot camp)
- complete Class A Technical School
- volunteer for submarine service for Culinary Specialist Submarines
- demonstrate good arithmetic skills
- demonstrate good verbal skills
- ability to perform detailed work

Job Duties
- Prepares menus for meal and catering services
- operates kitchen and dining facilities on ships and shore
- provides meals for Sailors, commanding officers, and dignitaries
- manages inventories, food orders, and financial records
- ensures compliance with food safety programs and regulations
- oversees shipboard living quarters and lodging
- serves as a flight attendant aircrewman (for some assignments)
