- eligibility to serve in the United States Navy
- meet age requirements set by Navy
- pass medical, vision, and dental examinations
- pass background and character screening
- achieve qualifying test scores
- ability to obtain security clearance if required
- ability to work safely in hot and fast paced galley environments
