Job Requirements

  • a high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous culinary or kitchen experience preferred
  • food safety certification required or willingness to obtain
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and production guidelines
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • basic math skills for measuring and portioning
  • ability to adhere to safety and sanitation standards consistently

Job Qualifications

  • former practice as a chef or in a related culinary capacity
  • broad comprehension of food preparation principles and the art of cooking
  • familiarity with sanitation practices and food safety guidelines
  • obtain the required food safety certification if it is not already in possession
  • basic understanding of mathematics and counting
  • possesses strong communication skills and excels in working as part of a team
  • a high school diploma or its equivalent is the preferred qualification but not a must-have

Job Duties

  • adhere to standardized recipes and production guidelines when cooking and preparing meals
  • set up workstations with essential tools and ingredients for smooth operation
  • organize ingredients by chopping, trimming, measuring, blending, and handling various tasks
  • safely navigate the use of different kitchen utensils and equipment, such as knives, ovens, stoves, and mixers, by following safety guidelines
  • use different cooking techniques including baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming to create and serve a variety of dishes
  • portion and garnish food to meet defined standards for its visual presentation
  • comply with all the food safety procedures and ensure proper food storage techniques are used
