This role is hourly with a competitive wage ranging from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily culinary operations, managing dining room appearance, scheduling wait staff, and ensuring a high level of service aligned with organizational goals. This individual will serve as the primary culinary contact, working closely with the Culinary Services Manager, Executive Chef, and Culinary Services Director to address food, staffing, and service issues effectively. Moreover, the role encompasses supervising the setup and service of catering events offered by Ample Fare Catering and ensuring that all service areas are maintained to the highest standards. The position demands a hospitality-focused leader who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to coach and support team members, and a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for residents, guests, and coworkers. Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year Host/Hostess or Lead Server experience within fine restaurant, club, hotel, or similar institution
  • Available 7 days a week and scheduled as needed to meet culinary service needs
  • Ability to interpret and explain menus, refer, or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests
  • Ability to communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with, and be tolerant of residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates
  • State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance certification required

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year Host/Hostess or Lead Server experience within a fine restaurant, club, hotel, or similar institution
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to direct, coach, train and support co-workers
  • Hospitality focused individual
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, and subordinates
  • Knowledge of FullCount point-of-sale (POS) system
  • State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance certification

Job Duties

  • Supervises the physical appearance of the dining room area and server stations including table pedestals, table place settings, chairs, floors, and lighting
  • Coordinates the seating of residents and guests in an efficient, courteous manner
  • Schedules stations and work assignments for the wait staff and check out servers to make sure standards are met
  • Ensures that daily shift sheets are being completed
  • Demonstrates complete knowledge of FullCount point-of-sale (POS) system
  • Confers with Culinary Services Manager, Executive Chef, and Culinary Services Director regarding food, staffing, or service issues
  • Makes rounds of dining rooms and Boren Bistro to check staff levels
  • Oversees planning, set-up, and service of all Ample Fare Catering events
  • Reports damaged equipment to Culinary Services Director
  • Waits tables and provides beverage and bar services as needed
  • Participates in cost control measures
  • Participates in food or beverage inventories as needed
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned
