Job Description

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is a leading provider of dining services for healthcare and other institutional clients across the United States. Renowned for its commitment to delivering exceptional foodservice, HCSG partners with long-term care facilities, hospitals, and rehabilitation centers to enhance the dining experience for residents and patients. Established with a mission to positively impact the communities it serves, HCSG places a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. The company prides itself on fostering a supportive work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and professional development, offering comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities for its employees.

As a dining services department manager at HCSG, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of leading and managing the dining department at a single long-term care facility. This role is vital in ensuring that the food service program delivers consistently high-quality meals, adheres to strict health and safety standards, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations. You will oversee inventory management, staff scheduling, training, and performance, while maintaining accurate records of income, expenditures, and equipment. This leadership position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and client administrators to meet facility-specific dining needs. The role offers a competitive salary range from $58,000 to $62,000 per year and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

In this role, the department manager will lead a diverse team by conducting training sessions, quality control checks, and staff evaluations to maintain foodservice excellence. The ability to perform multiple roles such as dietary aide, cook, or dishwasher is valuable, reflecting the hands-on nature of this position. The manager is responsible not only for operational oversight but also for fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with infection control policies such as universal precautions and COVID-19 vaccination requirements, and promoting customer satisfaction through respectful and cooperative interactions with residents, staff, and visitors.

HCSG supports its employees with an extensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays and vacation, free telemedicine services starting from day one, an employee stock purchase plan, and financial wellness support. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about foodservice management in healthcare settings and who seek an employer committed to excellence, diversity, and career advancement. Joining HCSG means becoming part of a company that values your leadership skills and offers the tools and environment to succeed while making a meaningful difference in the lives of the residents they serve.
