Job Requirements

  • Prefer one year experience cooking in a commercial kitchen
  • prefer experience supervising culinary staff
  • required current food handling license as required by the state

Job Qualifications

  • Proficient knowledge in culinary operations
  • experience in supervising culinary staff
  • ability to plan menus aligned with dietary needs
  • excellent communication and leadership skills
  • strong organizational abilities
  • familiarity with food safety standards
  • commitment to high-quality food service

Job Duties

  • Planning a variety of nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements including special requests if requested
  • managing the department budget and expense management including inventory
  • directly supervising all dietary staff including hiring training scheduling etc
  • working daily as a part of the team to ensure quality food service in accordance with Legend’s Gold Leaf Dining standards including interacting with residents daily
  • ensuring all cooking serving storage preparation and service areas are clean safe and organized to meet all applicable food service standards and regulations
  • acting as manager-on-duty on a rotating basis with other department leaders
