Job Requirements
- Ability to communicate in English
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Standing for prolonged periods and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to handle raw fish and sharp tools safely
- Finger and hand dexterity to operate food machinery
- Ability to lift or move goods weighing up to 100 lbs
- Valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card
Job Qualifications
- Culinary training or apprenticeship preferred
- Certification in food handling and safety is a plus
- Experience working in a Japanese restaurant highly desirable
- Proven experience as a Sushi Cook or similar role
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail
- Creativity and passion for Japanese cuisine
- Ability to communicate well in English
Job Duties
- Prepare traditional and modern sushi dishes using high-quality ingredients
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Deliver visually appealing and flavorful presentations
- Communicate effectively with guests to enhance their dining experience
