The culinary team structure includes several roles such as Cook, Lead Cook, Steward Supervisor, and Culinary Supervisor. Cooks are responsible for food preparation using a variety of cooking techniques including baking, roasting, grilling, broiling, steaming, and adhering to production guidelines and safety standards. Lead Cooks have additional supervisory duties, such as scheduling staff, guiding and training cooks on cooking methods and food safety practices. Steward Supervisors oversee dishwashing operations, maintain chemical inventories, and ensure sanitation compliance, while Culinary Supervisors manage overall production schedules, direct daily activities, and maintain food quality and safety standards.
Aramark values employees who demonstrate strong work ethics, independence, attention to detail, and communication skills. Workers are expected to comply with all food safety regulations and participate in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. Physical demands such as lifting, bending, and extended periods of standing are part of the role.
