Job Requirements

Must have good knowledge of hot food preparations
must have experience in baking
must know and follow sanitary food handling procedures
must have knife skills and knowledge of cooking terms
must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel
must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions
must be able to read and interpret simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
must be able to write simple correspondence
must be able to accept constructive criticism
must be able to work within a team and take responsibility for their actions
must pay attention to detail
must be able to safely and properly use and maintain all kitchen equipment
must be able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
must have problem solving abilities
must be self-motivated and organized
must commit to quality service and food and beverage knowledge
preferably have 3 years experience in a high-end kitchen
must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a warm to hot environment
must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
must be able to handle physical demands of the job
