Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in restaurant management or culinary school certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar supervisory role
- Ability to work 100% on-site
- Flexibility to work long hours when necessary
- Capability to lift items up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of the shift

Job Duties
- Assist the chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations and all food service activities
- Provide direction to kitchen staff, ensuring smooth execution of all employee responsibilities
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure adherence to health and fire department regulations
- Ensure compliance with all food handling requirements and standards set forth by state, federal, and local agencies
- Help implement and manage kitchen and restaurant policies and procedures during scheduled shifts
- Step in to perform line cook duties as needed and be versatile in all kitchen positions
- Maintain proper food storage temperatures and keep recipe books updated with current menu items
- Utilize daily prep sheets and product counts accurately, participating in the monthly inventory process
- Identify and resolve any issues with inventory, systems, or staffing proactively
- Monitor labor costs, ensuring budgetary goals are met in alignment with restaurant policies
- Support training and development initiatives for kitchen staff
- Participate in the hiring process, conducting interviews and making recommendations
- Assist in completing employee performance reviews for back-of-house staff
