Job Description

Salted is the largest delivery-first restaurant group in the United States, dedicated to redefining the dining experience with a focus on better-for-you cuisine. Established as a forward-thinking culinary enterprise, Salted specializes in offering clean-label, plant-driven meals that do not compromise on taste or quality. The company leverages innovative delivery models to ensure customers receive fresh, nutritious, and delicious food directly to their doorsteps, setting new standards in the restaurant industry. Salted prides itself on its commitment to sustainability, health-conscious ingredients, and culinary excellence, making it a leader in the evolving food landscape.

As a kitchen manager at Salted, you play an essential role in upholding the company’s culinary standards and operational success. Located in San Diego, California, this full-time role offers an annual salary of $71,000, complete with a generous range of benefits including a performance-based bonus program with profit sharing, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 401k plan with a 4% employer match after one year, free nutritious meals during shifts, and ample opportunities for career development and education.

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items to perfection, strictly following Salted's culinary guidelines. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining compliance with all sanitation regulations and safety standards to ensure a safe kitchen environment. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with Salted's virtual Front of House team to deliver seamless, high-quality dining experiences for customers.

Your role will encompass maintaining strict quality and consistency in every aspect of food preparation, while also implementing thorough sanitation protocols to exceed federal, state, and corporate safety standards. Organizing the kitchen and associated areas to uphold impeccable cleanliness and order will be one of your daily priorities.

Communication is at the heart of Salted’s kitchen culture, and you will be expected to foster transparent and effective communication channels among team members and across corporate departments. Beyond the culinary responsibilities, you will manage all administrative tasks such as scheduling, inventory control, and financial management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Recruitment, training, and development of kitchen staff will be fundamental to your role, where you will build a skilled and cohesive team dedicated to Salted’s culinary excellence. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned culinary professional with a passion for leadership, innovation, and delivering exceptional food experiences in a modern, fast-paced restaurant environment.

Salted is steadfast in its commitment to diversity and inclusion and is an equal-opportunity employer. The company values team members who are ready to contribute to shaping the future of the restaurant industry through clean, plant-driven cuisine that customers love. If you seek a challenging, rewarding role where your skills and innovation will be celebrated and nurtured, joining Salted as a Kitchen Manager is an exciting prospect.
