Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in various kitchen roles, including food preparation and line cooking
  • At least 6 months of experience in a management capacity
  • Strong communication skills with kitchen staff, dining personnel, and guests
  • Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and work in a standing position for extended periods (up to 9 hours)

Job Duties

  • Guarantee that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant's recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards
  • Make key employment decisions including interviewing, hiring, and evaluating kitchen staff
  • Provide orientation on company policies and oversee the training of new culinary team members
  • Step in as needed to ensure exceptional guest service and smooth operations
  • Organize and complete required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in a timely manner
  • Maintain kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and excellent working condition through regular inspections and preventative maintenance protocols
  • Collaborate with restaurant management to plan, price, and develop new menu items, including establishing portion sizes and creating standard recipe cards
