Job Requirements
- Culinary education is preferred
- a minimum of two years of restaurant experience is required
- at least one year of management experience in a restaurant setting is preferred
- strong understanding of food costs and sales metrics
- familiarity with kitchen equipment including knives, mixers, ovens and more
- excellent communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- organized, detail-oriented, and able to problem-solve effectively
- commitment to delivering exceptional service and enhancing customer satisfaction
- engage with guests to build rapport and enhance their dining experience
- cultivate a motivating work environment through coaching and feedback
- adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations including ServSafe standards

Job Duties
- Conduct daily line checks with the management team to ensure food quality and presentation meet our high standards
- monitor incoming products and communicate any quality issues to management
- handle the recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of kitchen staff
- create weekly work schedules aligned with business forecasts and budget constraints
- manage food costs through effective purchasing, storage, and recipe standardization
- ensure compliance with all health department standards for food safety and handling
- analyze weekly food costs using inventory tracking reports to optimize operational efficiency
- prepare food according to established standards and customer specifications
- oversee safe operation of kitchen equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations
- maintain effective food storage and inventory to meet par levels
- supervise food preparation and cooking activities
- order necessary food supplies and kitchen equipment as required
- delegate daily work assignments to kitchen staff in each area
- train and mentor kitchen employees on food preparation methods and safety practices
