Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant management experience
  • Ability to spend up to 70% time in the field
  • Live within one hour of an international airport or willing to relocate
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to remote locations on short notice
  • Experience working independently in austere environments
  • Ability to work well with others and follow directions
  • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Physically fit to handle long hours and demanding tasks
  • Strong mental resilience
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity
  • Fluency in English, additional languages desired

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years in management roles in fast-paced environments
  • Experience leading and coaching large teams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal resources

  • Fluency in English

Job Duties

  • Respond within four hours notice to disaster areas
  • Lead and manage field culinary teams
  • Design and implement disaster response culinary strategies
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and manage culinary teams
  • Provide regular operational updates to Response Director
  • Collaborate with WCK departments to support activations
  • Complete After-Action Reports for process improvements
  • Design and manage high-volume production kitchens
  • Create and advise on rotating, culturally appropriate menus
  • Manage inventory and procurement processes
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards
  • Work with finance on culinary operation budgets
  • Source materials and supplies efficiently
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to culinary teams
  • Address personnel issues and provide performance feedback
  • Support recruitment and professional development
  • Engage with local communities and stakeholders
  • Represent WCK in the field to beneficiaries and partners
